Welcome to Free 3D
Interested in creating your own 3D models for games or fun, but your budget doesn't quite run to buying your own faro laser scanner, then this is the site for you. It is able to generate a series of (x,y,z) coordinates for you to import into 3D other editing tools from a few uploaded images.
So that the point-of-view of each image can be located it must include a flat reference object that can be easily printed out or made. You then mark points on the image corresponding to points on that reference object as well as points on the item you intend to capture. Once that work is done your a button-click from being able to view or download the (x,y,z) coordinates as a CSV or open-collada (.dea) file. There is also a 3D editing view that allows you to pick a points X, Y or Z value and then transfer it onto onto other points, so that small defects in the generated model can be quickly corrected, or parts of the model aligned to the x,y,z axis.
